Dire Consequences: The Alexander Matthews Chronicles Book 1

Well the long journey to publish Dire Consequences: The Alexander Matthews Chronicles Book 1 is nearing the end. Nearing, but not finished. As of this morning the Kindle version of the book was uploaded to Amazon, and should be available for purchase within 72 hours:

There are still things that I need to do such as set up my Author page, but the one major hiccup right now is that I am waiting on the formatted Print file so I can get the paperback uploaded as well.

Still…it’s a relief to finally get to this point. Now I just have to hope there are enough potential readers out there who will take a chance on a new author. We’ll see I guess.

Almost there…

I sent the formatting for the eBook back this morning for some minor revisions…nothing major, and it should be relatively easy to fix. My guess is that I will receive the revised copy back in the next day or two.

The final cover…

I signed off on the final cover for Dire Consequences last night. Next step is the formatting for both the ebook and print versions of the manuscript. Fortunately, my cover artist does both, so no need to hunt down another person to perform that work.

As I had promised, I will walk you through the process that led to the final edition, and hopefully it will all make sense. Let me preface this with the fact that I didn’t totally get what I want, but some of that is due to time, money, and what is best for the cover (not my area of expertise).

That being said, let’s dive right in. Continue reading “The final cover…”
